A roo's comb

We found this on our big boy roo, no other chickens in his coop; and he is behaving normally. Active and happy, just these weird scabby looking bumps. As far as we can tell they are no where else, just his comb.

That is dried blood from an injury, usually from pecking, but since he is alone, he could have scraped it on wire or something sharp. Usually those will heal over several weeks without any treatment.

That could be it, he did get loose and ran around in the woods. We also think he has been butting the coop. Thank you
