Nope he'll love em just te way they are. Strawberries, watermellon, scrambled eggs, bread, pumpkin seeds, left over veggies. Mine love em all

I would watch him for a few days. He might take off until he truly knows where home is. Just take a stroll with him. He will stick by you. But I wouldn't just turn him loose by himself just yet.

Most small fruits can be fed as is. Things like tomatoes or larger veggies or fruits, I will chop into smaller pieces.

I let him out but stayed with him. He didn't want to come back in lol! Strawberries were all it took to bribe him.

Just make sure you do not run afoul of local laws and regulations. Some localities prohibit the keeping of roosters. Usually it is not a problem unless the rooster starts crowing early in the morning and a neighbor calls the law on you.
