Hi!
This is my first year dealing with broody hens. One gal went broody 5 days ago. I got her some fertilized eggs to catch and moved her to a little coop in the same run. The chicks are due in 18 days. Today one of her sisters started being broody. I'm wondering what you would do in this situation.
I'm tempted to move her into the maternity ward with her sister and give her a couple of the eggs. What are your thoughts? Will she be ok if they hatch in 18 days instead of 21?
Also I noticed my 1st broody didn't eat or drink today. Should I be worried?

Dont worry, she will get up to eat when she is ready.
Two broodys together tend to steal each other eggs and fuss over each others chicks. Sometimes not.
If you have a second spot for another broody....and you want more chicks tou could give her her own eggs.
Keep in mind half will be roosters that you will have to deal with later.
