The ducks were scheduled to be moved into breeding pens today. Before they can be moved, there is a small plumbing issue that has to be resolved.

My "plumber" was supposed to have the day off today and was going to fix the plumbing issue and watch The Ducks game. But someone turned over a gasoline tanker on the ice and my "plumber" got called into work on an emergency basis.

So. No plumbing repairs, no ducks moved, 1 week setback in the schedule.

The small issue of The Ducks game and the gigantic ham waiting in the fridge to be roasted are ones I can solve by myself. I just am not strong enough to do that plumbing.

The ducks should have been separated today and then 2 month later, I will start hatching guaranteed purebred eggs. That would be March 1, now set back by another week.

The Blues spent the night in their own pen last night, but I let them back out with the flock this morning. They are fine with it. 2 breeding pens are side by side. It is the Pekins who are going to make a fuss, since their pen is across the yard, so they are going to be really separated. I expect some protest over that move.
