Hello, this is from another mechanically impaired person. My husband isn't, but he has health issues so can't work for long. We're using a rabbit hutch surrounded by a pretty good run that I made. Now I'm thinking about nesting boxes and driving myself crazy. I built under the hutch and realized that they have to be off the ground. I used a bucket scrunched into a small ladder. No go and it got wet. I bought a plastic Miller nesting box and put it in the hutch. They aren't interested. Right now they are sleeping in a big nesting box that was given to me with the hutch. It's inside and they squeeze themselves into it at night. I have four birds. Your construction looks idiot proof. I'm referring to the two doors and shutters. Where did you put the nesting boxes? Are you using a ladder for them to get up to the house or one of those planks. Right now a little ladder goes into the hutch. I'm not sure, with the door open during the day, they'll think the plastic box is too vulnerable and not dark enough.
