A slow learner

Great to read an update! I don't blame Buffy, I'd rather sleep alone than have to listen to all that "cackling" going on in the Big house!!!

'Slow learner' (aka 'Buffy') is doing fine and has become the favorite friend of all our grandkids. She doesn't run away from them, and happily sits on their arm without being held.

We are starting to get worried about winter nights. Buffy sleeps alone in our spare tractor. We have tried putting a few of the lower ranking hens with Buffy, but they never stay there voluntarily. They gravitate to the big hen house.

Being in central Texas, at worst we have a few nights in the low teens, but we are concerned she will need company for warmth.
