A Thing Called "Relays"

Many moons ago, I used to write with a group of talented people in what we lovingly called "Relays."

It bridges the gap between a role-play and a coop-written online novel.

In a role-play, each author has control of only their character, their character's dialogue, actions and reactions, and each post is limited to a few sentences, maybe a paragraph at best.

In a relay, each author writes an entire chapter using other characters to advance the story and develop the plot. Some artistic license is given to each post, and there ARE unwritten rules as to the acceptable use of each character. Instead of listing attributes of each character before the auto begins writing (Name:, Age:, Gender:, Height:, Appearance:, etc), you describe your character as you would as if you were writing a book.

It's *really* fun, at least for nerds like me.

I would be happy to start a relay here if anyone is interested. :)

Typically, we like to keep the participants between four to six writers. Otherwise, it can get a little "crowded."

What do y'all think?

I've always preferred fiction/fantasy. I see a lot of wolfy RPs... right up my alley. ;) I'm a huge werewolf fan!

What do you feel would be a good plot?

Time period could be any... I've always thought it was fun to bridge many time periods with long-lived characters.

Give me some time to think, and I'll come up with a first post. I'm so excited to get some feedback! I hope we have several writers join us. :D
