A tiny hole and then nothing

So it been 36hrs and still nothing. I got a flash light and took a closer look at the egg....is this what pipping looks like? it almost looks like the chick was to big for the egg. I don't see anything but dark and what looks like something wet or sticky??

My little one didn't make it. I wish I knew what went wrong?!!

I have a few picture if anyone thinks they could help me figure out what went wrong.

All mine have been taking about 24 hours to hatch. When I was younger I remember them hatching in between 1 hour to 3. I help zip when it's been a while. But wrap in wet towel.

Do you mean the one that pipped is dead? Posting pics couldn't hurt. A lot of the more experienced hatchers may be able to identify the problem.

you can alway use a pair of tweasers and very very slowly try to help the pipes and break away some of the shell but make sure you also get the slim film away from them also if you see any blood start stop and make sure you are not couseing them selfs to bleed if it is flowing put them back they are ready to hatch if you are only getting a slim film doing this you can help them out they are twisted wrong in the shell the ones that are not piping leave them alone thier not strong enough to pip i have done this many time with grate out comes and a few not so good

I think your humidity was too high.... was the chick "sticky"? I run dry hatches here in Florida. I add no water at all to my incubator. If I do my humidity gets to high, the chicks get sticky and they die when they pip. Almost looks like syrup on them.....

maybe my lg still air is not functioning right because when i open the air vents (take out those red plugs) my humidity goes down..it doesn't go up....i'm on day two of my lockdown and i've had to keep the vent plugs in to get my humidity at 72%...aauugghh!!
