A tough decision...

Well, it's done but not like I planned. The Tylenol/Valarian root combo was a mistake. Dear Henrietta never fell asleep... Not even close. She was one sick chicken, and maybe the combo calmed her a bit. Five hours though... In the end my husband had to snap her neck. I know it was the right and most humane thing to do and I'm so glad he could. I just wish we'd done it sooner; I won't mess with the drugs next time.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I do think that you did the right thing. One of the saddest things I've seen is when an animal suffers because people just can't bear to put them down. Thank you for sharing your story.
