One if my chicks has something growing out of it's butt, looks like some sort of tumor, like a reddish, black color. It's a leghorn. None of the others have this, kind of gross looking. Is he sick?

Can you post a picture? Has it had pasty butt? (poop sticking to the butt?) I have seen this in a few chicks before that had pasty but, some of the intestine protrudes..or possibly because it is constipated. You may be able to take a cotton ball soaked in warm water and gently wipe the area and push on it to see if it goes back in. I doubt it is a tumor.

It does look like intestines protruding, will try to get a picture, but they are all sleeping now, that one is not hard to miss when they are out and running around though. Been like that for a few days now.
