A very annoing Raccoon: How to get rid do not killing it ?

honestly I would be more concerned for your cat, as now I read that he is old. Please I get that you are an animal lover but such a brazen coon is trouble could kill the cat (if it felt like it) could bite a child. Right now it is tresspassing not just on your property but trying to enter your home, I cant think of a better reason to end its life before it raises up kits that too will have NO fear and will cause damage. I bet this might have already been a capture and release and now you are stuck with the problem dont do that to someone else. In addition coons have a BAD temper and when what they are used to eating or doing is changed they look in the same area for something else to eat and may break into your coops next or kill some of your pets. FYI they kill for the thrill of it not just what they want to consume. (I know that first hand after loosing 12 ducks in one night)

Good Luck in whatever you deside, I hope you figure it out soon.

Now I see, you meant it should be with grid, like this one:

unfortunately it is just a jail for my cat, which all his life already walked where he wanted.
This is good idea for cat who never walked outdoor before. Too late!

You are right, but I can do nothing with that since he was and is cat-walker a whole life.
There are many other dangerous animals here - foxes, coyotes, vultures etc.
Once deer hit his hip and he limped a few monthes...
There were several times when I helped him against 3 huge vultures...
That's his life. Wild life, he also a predator and I guess he enjoy his life.

This one is interesting if it has also the bad smell for raccoon, not only the taste. I will try it (to order, not to taste

).

OR a Sonic repellent (May explode cats .. meaning they probably won't like it either)
