A very relaxed rat (Earl)

I've heard that you can hypnotize a bunny by flipping it on its back .you can't do thar to a rat, but Earl gets pretty relaxed and happy when you do this...

Try stroking him gently between the eyes while he is upside down, that's what I did to the rabbits to hypnotize them. Earl is a cutie. I miss having rats, I think they are great pets. I don't like the wild ones though!

Thanks, I'll try that. He LOVES when I stroke each side of his head, just behind his little ears. He closes his eyes and it's just so cute!
No I don't like the wild ones either. The ones that run around out on our property don't bother me but I still would not mess with them. The one that live in the buildings downtown gross me out though! Ick.

But

I understand... Domestic rats are quite different from wild rats though. The are very docile, not prone to biting, and love human companionship. They aresuper friendly and smart which is why I chose a rat iver a hamster or gerbils!

Crazy smart, I say. Rats are great pets. Way better than hamsters or mice.

Haha, you're right. I've wanted rats, mice, hamsters, guinea pigs, etc.
