Well, I feel horrible this morning. Went out yo take care of nh chickadees and discovered feathers everywhere. Yep, had company late and forgot to close up the coop and then on the fence. We have a portable electric pen for out birdie's. Anyway one is gone, vanished leaving all her feathers and another is wounded. I hope she will be ok. She has a puncture wound up high on her back and her skin is flapping down. Like someone was taming it off. My wonderful ten year old daughter smeared bag balm on it while I held her. She is up and edging, drinking and scratching with the others. I just feel like I have failed my chickadees.
