What did you do in the garden today?

Good news, my dentist was able to clean and fill the teeth I broke flossing. He showed me a picture of the broken tooth and explained where the nerve tissue was and if he did not numb my gums, I would have experienced pain. I did not feel anything through the 1-hour operation. My health insurance covered most of it, and I only paid $57 out of pocket to cover miscellaneous fees. He said I can eat anything I want; the filling has hardened, and my tooth is fixed.
The receptionist was trying to sell me cleaning services, but I declined and escaped the sales pitch with, "If I find a hot girlfriend I will sign up for the maintenance service."
Glad he was able to fix and ins covered most.
My insurance has always covered 2 cleanings a year. It's important for heart health along with prevention of cavities and gums issues. The oral bacteria gets in the system

I cut all the chive clumps down to the ground this morning and ended up with one gallon of chopped chives for the freezer, 1.35 pounds. That should last me until there's new, fresh chive growth to harvest again.

You need to stop bragging, very unbecoming.:D I have tried limas a few times and every time I get the plant and no beans, and I have low nitrogen soil and don’t add any back for beans. But my peas and green beans do very well:confused::confused:
I grew lima beans in a 20-gallon fabric grow bag and I eventually let the pods dry on the vine before picking them. I got tired of eating the soft pods, so it served its purpose.

Wow that is a ton of chives. Every time I try to grow chives something happens. Last time my dogs knocked the pot I planted the seeds in off the deck 10 feet down into rocks. I am giving up for now. Maybe next year

Not to change the subject but does this look disturbing, or somewhat normal to anyone? Just noticed last night that our rooster broke his one spur and it was hanging by very thin piece of skin which we snipped off, there was no bleeding. Not sure how long ago this happened but it must have been pretty recent because I’m with them several times daily and never noticed it until last evening. As you can see the wound is black and crusted over and we did apply neosporin just in case and he doesn’t seem to be having any issues. His leg does have a little reddish tinge to it compared to the other leg but it looks like normal coloration to me
