Dryden started to speak. "We've gathered you here today for an announcement. Well, two really. First things first, I'd like to announce that there will be an heir to the alpha position."
 
Liria, who had decided that she was more comfortable in her wolf form, perked her ears and howled her congratulations with everyone else gathered there.
 
Dryden waited for everyone to stop then spoke again, "And on a less happier note," he started, looking back at Clio, "there will be a war with our neighboring pack, the Red Moon pack."
 
Dryden raised his hand and everyone quickly shut their mouths. Except for one male, who was shouting things at Dryden and cursing him. Dryden flicked his hand and in seconds the male was dragged away. "They called war on us, and have not told me why. You know as much as I do right now."
 
Liria nodded, accepting Alpha's words. There's no reason for him to hide the real reason from his pack. She yawned, her pearly fangs gleaming, and shifted back to her human form.

Dryden looked around at his pack. He knew they didn't fully trust him, considering he was the youngest alpha in the world and history of werewolves. Then again, he was also the strongest alpha of the strongest pack. He walked off of the stage and Clio followed suit.
 
Liria got up and returned to her room. Suddenly she had a rather alarming thought. What if this means the fights are canceled? No, no, they wouldn't be. They're an important staple in the lives of every werewolf.
 
Dryden and Clio sat eating in their kitchen, wondering about different things. Clio was wondering about Dryden's former mate while Dryden was wondering if he should cancel tomorrow's fights.. he decided to keep them. If they passed, there would be more warriors for the fight.
