A wonderful gift! Update!!

Since I've never put eggs into an incubator, would you wash them all first? or do you set them just like that? when we got our goose egg, the fellow told my dh not to clean it just put it under the duck like it was and it was dirty. I did what he said since I had never done that before. so is it best to wash or not to wash. Our goose hatched with out problems.

Don't wash. There is a protective layer on the egg that gets deposited as it is laid. Washing it strips it away.

Yup, we don't wash. If they're too dirty we'll take a bit of sandpaper and sand away some of the crud. But most of it we'll leave alone.

LOL I've said that I'm NOT keeping ANY! (We'll see) I've actually got 5 sold so far. I have others who're interested in purchasing some as well.
