Can I just scream to some other duck lovers please!!!???!!?? My sister told me yesterday that she went for a walk to the pond with her pups where a duck family lives ( her dogs pay no attention ). When she got there she only saw a duck family with thier heads cut off. I cant even believe this was someones idea. She said clean cuts point to humans. Who would even have something like that run through thier darn mind. If I ever hear someone talking about it....... Well lets just leave it to that we all know what we would do to these people. UGH

Ok I dont feel better but it helps to get it off my chest. I cant stop thinking about this incodent. I can only imagine how it looked, my sister on the other hand has to try and shake it from her memory. I just dont understand some people.

I hope that she reported the incident to the authorities. That way they can try to track down the culprits, or at least be watchful that they dont return and kill more.

It might not have been people you know..minks are known for leaving the body normal and just eating the head.

That is so sick and demented. I hope she reported it and I hope they catch the vile creatures that did it.

To cut the throats of an innocent duck family is disgusting and cruel beyond words. Let me know if you find out who did it...I will come help you beat the snot out of them.

I doubt it is a person, as said, minks will cut the head off clean and eat it. Minks can swim, and have you ever tried to catch a duck? It is VERY hard. I don't know many people who would go chop the heads off of ducks for fun. I think its a predator.

Yeah, raccoons are fond of heads and so are cats if the animal is small. I had a cat that liked to leave decapitated bunnies on my back porch. It was awful.

We pondered a predator..... but we have no minks or racoons here. and none of the animal was missing just left there.

There are also raptors who do that. I talked to a rancher who has seen them attack ducks on her property, just taking the heads!
