AAAHHHHH I'm being overrun with chickens!! I need to sell some...

I started with 7 chickens last year. I bought an incubator, and now I have about sixty chickens, including 25 mixed breed 8 week old chicks.

I also had a hen that went broody three times this year, and two others that went broody once.

I REALLY need to get rid of those chicks! I dont mind keeping the roosters, we can butcher them. But I would love to sell the pullets. I am only asking $5 apiece for 8 week old pullets. I cant seem to get rid of them!

What should I do? I have tried craigslist, local radio free 'swap' ads, and I am planning to go to a animal swap next month. Total I hope to get rid of about 35 chicks and pullets.

i would love to buy 6 pullets

,any idea on shipping cost i live in north dakota and my flock was just killed by dogs on sun . the coop is now dog proof

I just sold 29 chicks for $2,50 to $3.00 each . I now have a waiting list for chicks. Try lowering the price.

I think I will lower the price, because at this rate I am costing more then its worth to keep feeding them. I may try $3, which seems cheap for pullets, but if they sell I will be happy.

I would give hem away, if I had too, but I might go ahead and butcher the pullets also, since I really dont have a problem with that.

Capon, I dont think I could ship them to you that far away, I dont have any idea on how to ship older birds. Otherwise I would give you 6 of them!

And jqs birds, I am far on the OTHER side of the mountains from you, we live on the plains.
