AAarrrgh! My Thermometer/Hygrometer is Freaking me OUT

I've hatched a lot of chicks in my Chic Chick Bator and and I've got one of those thermometers that everyone else has bought from Walmart, the little white square one that shows the temp and the humidity and up to this point it's done great! And tonight I'm thinking...geez I've had this thing awhile, it probably needs a new battery, so I put one in and the stupid thing is now freaking out! I have no idea where my humidity is, today is lockdown and the temps are reading 110!!!

I know better than this because the little red incubator thermometer says it's only 100.

This is going to be a nervous 3 days.

throw it away. get another one. moisture gets inside after few hatches and then there junk. same thing happened to me. just keep plenty of water in it. add with a small hose threw one of the holes in the top.
