Abandon chicks

Evening, I’ve just taken in two chicks that were dumped in near by woodland. I’m not sure on the breed, Pekin or Cochin maybe? Also, am I right in thinking that they were probably dumped because they are roosters? Thanks

How old? They look like roo's to me.

I’m guessing 5+ weeks. Not sure tho as they were dumped.

Yeah, I think cockerel, too.

They're male. The name of the breed is Pekin, but they're also called bantam cochins because they look like standard cochins (which are not actually related to them in any significant way, though both breeds are from China.) The grey one is blue mottled, and I have no idea what colour the other is.

Definitely older than six weeks, but I'd need a size comparison to guess anything else.

They are pretty birds. Are you keeping them?

They are adorable, but agreeing they look Cockerel especially one with waddles started.
