Help! My husband just found a little baby chick out beside our shed. We know that it obviously came from one of our Bantams, but we don't know how it got here all by itself and don't know who the Momma is. Plus if we leave it alone, we are afraid the cats will find and eat it. What can I do to see that this little fella gets a good start, it is obviously very young. I have it in the house right now in a box. Can anyone help?
Just wanted to update the status of "Baby" as it has been named by me. Baby is doing great and apparently I am the Babymomma! This morning he was peeping like crazy and with a little encouragement from me and my fingers he ate some starter feed and drank water! He is quite content to hid under my hand or sit in my hand and If my hand is not available then he is happy to hide under a cloth that I packed around with me for awhile before I placed it in his box! Just wanted to update you and show you a picture of the newest member of our family!
