Thanks. I find so much conflicting information, it's hard to sort through what's really important. Alot of what I read says to separate the rooster, but he's very protective and will jump a six foot fence to defend his hen. The hen and Chicks need his protection because they free range and I've had egg thieves, so obviously there is something getting in my yard. I think he would try to mull me if I bothered the hen and Chicks too much. Ever since she went broody, he's a meaner bird.
