Abandoned egg

He will pip a day or two prior to hatching maybe only 8 hours before hatching. It all depends on what kind of duck he is and how the incubation has gone.

Help! I candled him today and it looks like his air sack has gotten bigger. Like alot Any ideas

I'm worried his air cell may have detached

That's what the air cell is supposed to look like when the egg is just about ready to hatch. The air cell is supposed to grow as the incubation progresses. A detached air cell actually moves around the egg, changing it's position when you turn the egg.

Here's some more pics. He's not moving anymore so I'm assuming he's getting ready to hatch now but there are no signs of pipping

Depends. If you are keeping the humidity up high enough, should hatch sometime in the next 48 hours.

Aww which means he was probably outside for longer than we thought
