Hey guys, there were 3 roosters dumped on the side of the road in the town over from me. It's about a 10 minute drive so I've been going to where they were abandoned at least every other day to bring them food and water and to make sure all 3 are still together and alive. These guys are quick and scared but I need to catch them like soon, it's going to be getting really cold at night this week. My question is, how the hell do I catch them? They are in a wooded area and are clearly scared of people. I usually find them by sitting in my car and playing a video of them making sounds over my stereo and then I'll usually see them or at least hear them. But it is in a very wooded area right by a road that they were dumped and have stayed in that area since getting dumped there about a week or so ago.

Only thing i can suggest is do what u doing now....try coax them out with food and treats and playing noises on your phone. Not gona lie catching 3 roosters gona be hard work, you are obviously a lovely person with a caring heart :) hope u catch them keep us updated show us pic if you do 💖💖

You're best bet is to go at dusk and see if you can find where they are roosting and catch them then. That is how I catch my tricky ones
Thanks you, I'll try that tonight..suppose I should let the people who live near by know so they don't think I'm just some creeper lurking through the woods near their house with a flashlight.

There you have it that's what I was talking about with a duck . People are always shucking their problems with no regards for other people cats , dogs , ducks chickens all by my house . With strays that are dumped off you have to be carful when you take them in . They can have diseases . when will people wake up and take responsibility .
