Can someone spell out some of the abbreviations that folks use on the site. Like EE, BO, etc . for name of chickens . For us newbies it is kind of fun to figure out ,but makes it hard sometimes to read.

I think there's a post somewhere that explains it.
If someone knows where that is, help us out.
For starters, EE stands for Easter Egger, BO=Buff Orpington, RIR=Rhode Island Red, BR=Barred Rock, etc.

Well there is quite a bit of them to spell out, but I will give you a few.

    For Relatives (human)
The "D" can stand for any "D" word (Darling, Dear, etc.)
    DH- Dear Husband
    DW- Dear Wife
    DS- Dear Son
    DD- Dear Daughter
SIL- Son (or sister) in law
    MIL-Mother in law
    FIL- Father in law

    Chicken breeds:

    EE- Easter Egger
    BO- Buff Orpington
    BCM- Black Coper Maran
    SL- Sex-link or Silver Leghorn

I can't think of anymore. I will continue to add to this list as they come to me.
