Abnormally Large Egg

One of my EEs layed a humongous egg today! First pic is between the size egg she normally is, and the second pic is compare to my Leghorn girl. I’m guessing the EE is around a year old and this is the first time she’s done this.

Ouch! It's probably a double yolker. More rarely you can get a complete mini egg encased inside another egg. Very cool.

I had an EE that did large, larger than that one (like goose egg size) eggs when she first stated laying. They dropped in size as she got things going, but did stay jumbos.

So, this was in my coop the other day. One of my Cornish Rocks left it for me! Ouch!

Wow! Egg is huge! Poor little easter eggers! They are such small birds and produce eggs the size of garden gnomes!

This was from an older hen and my buddy said it was a double yolker but wasnt. But it was fun to open for a meal. I have gotten several lately but no doubles.

I haven’t opened mine yet. But I’m really curious if it’s a double-yolker. Maybe tomorrow for breakfast
