My duckling is now 8 days old, i'm feeding it chicks starter food, it's being well and so curious tasting anything.

Can i start to offer it birds' seeds and veggies?

Welcome to BYC

Chick starter should be it main feed of course then start to offer small amts of other treats. Treats are just that treats. So watch howl your duckling is eating his treats fruits veggies to make sure it is not having problems getting them down the hatch so to speak. AND always have water available in a bowl deep enough for your duckling to drink and wash his/her face while eating they can choke other wise.

Here is a good read on what is safe and appropriate ages on when to start.

Another thing you might want to consider is adding in some Brewers yeast or Nutritional yeast to your ducklings feed 1 Tab per cup it has good amt of niacin which is very important for leg strength and since most of us use chick starter which is formulated for chickens Water fowl need supplementation.
