Hello everybody!
I'm going to open for business a quail farm in five month ( now i'm selecting the birds for a better production) and it will rise mainly Japanese Quails for eggs and the meat.
I was thinking about Chinese Quails also....but i don't know if this specie have the same productivity as the japanese one.
If anybody can give me an advice i kindly appreciate it!
Also if somebody is interested for a future collaboration they can send me their proposal at [email protected].
All the best and thank you in advance!

The Chinese Painted, or Button, Quail, are too small for meat birds, IMO, but are great if you want the eggs. They're small eggs, but tasty, and are in demand for hatching.
The Japanese, or Coturnix, matures in about 6-7 weeks, so the turnaround is nice for meat production. I would go for Jumbos, if I were you, for more meat.
Good luck with your venture!
