About Silkies

I know that a Vaulted Skull is supposed to be a desirable trait. However, it's not to my taste.

I love my silkies they are so sweet. I have mine with other bantams and standards they all get along great. They share a coop the silkies have their own little spot on the floor to sleep. Silkies as a rule do not use a roost.

Some do if the roosts are low enough !!!!!! There was a thread the other day about silkies roosting.

I only have 1 silkie who roosts. She jumps up about 4 feet to the roost.

Well, they arrived a week ago and all 10 are alive and doing really well. I got Black silkies so they will be harder to see from the sky, (predators) as they will be free range. Never in the world did I think I would ever have dainty Silkies. lol
