About to live the chicken dream in Olympia, WA

I've got some silkies, buff orpingtons and welsummers coming to me in several weeks. I've been fantasizing about chickens for 10 years and am finally in the position to do it. Hopefully, I haven't set myself up for disappointment.

We have yet to decide on a stationary coop or a tractor, or where to put it, or how big to make it! Almost all our yard is on an incline and the part that isn't "belongs" to the kids. Still negotiating.

I'm pleased to see so much information here as I have a million questions, starting with their housing.
