Argh...!!! I have tried 7 different thermometer/hygrometers in my 1588 trying to set it and ALL of them read radically differently. This is one of the older models (have had it forever and never used it for eggs, but did use it as a lab incubator). It does have the electronic thermostat though. Which number do you all put yours on? I cannot remember what the factory setting was.
I am worried because I think the mercury thermometers are probably more accurate. The one that came with it says about 102 degrees. I have several new digital thermometers (3 different models/brands) in there though and they range from basically 97.5 to 100. It is so frustrating! Please let me know what you all set yours on. Right now, I just moved it to the #3. TIA.
