Has anyone tried putting something on their eggs between washing and putting them in the incubator? I was sitting and thinking and got to wondering about putting Cornstarch on them to simulate the bloom. I don't know if that would clog the pores or not. I mean after the egg is completely dry.

Some people use some disinfecting solution on their eggs, could someone tell me the name of that stuff and is it possible to buy it locally? I really don't like buying stuff online.

My ducks and geese are in with my chickens for now, until I can get a coop built for them and they make a royal mess with the water. My land seems to have a lot of clay mixed in with the mud and when it dries on the eggs, it is very hard to get off but it can be soaked and scrubbed off. It gets on the chicken eggs by their feet being muddy when they get in the nesting boxes.
