Hey my hens are moulting too! One of my hens finally has feathers covering her back. She looks SO good. She had a bare back for the longest time I'm sure she's so happy.

Same with my Buff Orpington! When she was younger, she was bullied terribly. Now that she molted- she looks perfect!!

I have one more with a bare back. I am lying in wait for her to molt. I hope she does it soon. She will be freezing in the winter with the amount of feathers she is missing. I could makes chicken saddle to help keep
Her warm.

One of my chickens is molting too. I saw her feathers in the coop & thought she was attacked. We've had chickens for around eight years now, & none of them molted so quick out of nowhere.

I like to collect the downy feathers and i am saving them for a pillow. I know, it looks like a chicken died when they molt!
