OK. So I have been looking at all of the wonderful DIY feeders around and everyone seems to be using the white PVC pipe. I noticed the black ABS pipe is quite a bit cheaper but no one seems to use it. Does anyone have any idea why?

Thanks for the help

My guess is it's because that's what everyone uses. It also could have something to do with the color. A white pipe is easier to see if its empty or dirty, and if it's mounted outside the coop the black tube would heat up.

Google a little on abs in sun. I cannot remember for sure, but seem to think that I read that it begins to break down when exposed to light--it's mostly used within walls, underground, etc.
