My 4 month old buff has an abscess on his lower breast about the size of large walnut. This is not his crop. I would like some opinions on how to treat as vetrinary care is out unless it is an emergency. I have lanced abscesses on large livestock but never on poultry. Do i lance, leave it alone, how do i treat it? Any and suggestions are appreciated! Thank you in advance!!

Usually an abscess is red and hot, from infection and the pus in it. That doesn't look red to me, but it's difficult to evaluate with pics. Lancing may be the way to go in an abscess which is full of pus. If it's not red or hot, lancing may just introduce germs into something that wasn't infected. You could see what some warm compresses would do.

I was hoping to get an answer here about a large, hard lump on my Pekin Bantam's chest (not in her crop). The lump can move if I push against it. She walks fine and eats and drinks well. It seems not to bother her and she is not sick at all. Can I upload a photo/video?

Welcome to BYC. You can upload a photo, but I would suggest starting a new thread of your own for more attention, since this one is from 2013. Include if you chicken roosts or lies on the floor of the coop at night, if the roost is rough where it could have caused a breast blister, and if your chicken walks normally. Is there any swelling of the leg or ankle joints? How are the feet? Breast blisters can become abscessed and may need to be lanced and drained, treating with Betadine or chlorhexidene, and applying Neosporin ointment once the pus is out. Here is where to post a new thread of your own on the emergency forum, just fill in a title and some of the details:
