breast blister, caused from perches or wire floor. book says to wrap roost in something cushioned. Drain blister, clean with iodine, and pack with neosporin. antibiotic by drinking water or by injection may be necessary if blister becomes infected.

keep it clean and open, apply neosporin. penicillin will be your best antibiotic (i think).
Best of luck! and keep us updated.

Neosporin has been applied after a cleaning with peroxide antibiotic is cephalexan. Thanks will try and find some penicillin.

I'm not an expert, but i would think that cephalexin would be fine. Cephalosporins are probably even better than penicillin, but penicillin is easier for folks to get in a feed store without a prescription. Mycoplasma synovitis can cause a breast blister if the chicken rests on it's chest a lot.
