accident with goat update: I think she is going into labor

oh my goodness she just had her first one and it was hard she screamed alot it didnt seem like she was getting anywhere so after I saw a hoof I helped a bit and he/she is here. now she has two fluid filled bubble looking things hanging about of her should I burst that does that mean there is another one? I will post back in a few she is cleaning baby number 1 right now

Do you know how to check to see if her ligaments have "disappeared" yet?

If there's another bubble, she's most likely got more. May be a few minutes before she has it. Sometimes they're rapid fire, sometimes they take a while in between.

Glad the first one's out and on the ground, though. The first is usually the hardest.

Basically goats are unpredictable. I had one pant and dig for 36 hours before she kidded, no mucous, one minute she was eating and the next they were here. My other kidded this morning with triplets, no digging or nesting and all kinds of mess.

no more yet she is still cleaning up her little boy. I have everything else out here except a camera wouldnt you know I forgot that. I will get some pics though once I know she is done

eta: the next one should come within the next hour right? I read all this before but just kinda forgot once the moment gets here

I'm not exactly sure when mine had her first this morning, but it was at least 3 hrs total.

Yeah I think that my doe who had triplets last year took about 2.5hrs for all three to be born.

ok im not as worried then, still nothing she is still licking him and he is up walking and nursing
since I havent said it yet thanks to all of you it really helps to have people that know what they are doing give advice

ok she just passed the placenta. Does that mean we are done or does each kid sometimes have their own... sorry that may be a dumb question this is only my second goat birth and the first was much easier than this
