Accidently killed my favorite pet chicken today...

It was awful. She stuck her little chickeny neck between the fence gate as I was closing it. So sad. All three of my kids were there as well.

Thanks! I am sad, but we did go ahead and process her. It felt more honorable than throwing her in the trash. She was such a sweet chicken. She's in the fridge. RIP little nugget...

The funny thing is after growing up in 4-H, I really did just want a few little urban pets for eggs. I had no intentions of using my birds for the dinner table. Tomorrow we will say a special toast at dinner.
