According to Wikipedia, Cortunix Quail are long-distance migratory flyers

Wikipedia seems to claim that Japanese quail, Cortunix-cortunix, is a migratory bird that flyes long distance??? I've never heard this before? Is this true?

I looked it up, and wild Japanese quail are indeed migratory. Coturnix quail like you get from breeders are domesticated, though, and do fine without migrating.

They have to be migratory birds. If they stayed in one spot too long they would dround in poo
