Account being hacked?

Hello. Sometime in the last six months
RI had some sort of pop up telling me someone was trying to hack my BYC account. I cleared my history, cache, etc and haven't had the pop up since. It was like a fake pop up that tries to get you to click on a link for help because you're freaked out.

@drumstick diva has had the problem just recently. DD could you chime in with yours said? Any other reports of something like this?

Sounds more like a phishing pop up? Stuff can be generated by what you are looking at. Best to close it all out like you did, and don't click on pop ups. I don't believe that has anything to do with BYC, or your account here. Kinda like how I get emails from my "bank" asking me to update my information. It isn't my bank doing it.

Thanks for reporting this. We've never had a data breach on BYC, so I'm guessing this is a localized issue.

It's possible you saw a "phising" ad that might have gotten through our filters, and as long as you didn't click on it, you should be fine.

If you're worried about someone accessing your BYC account you should:

1. Reset your password regularly
2. Choose a very complicated / unique password with a mix of characters, numbers, and non-alphanumeric characters
3. If you want an almost impenetrable account, turn on the two-factor authentication and use your phone to validate that you are you.

If you (or anybody else) experience problems or issues related to security, please report them immediately with ALL the details (copies of messages, screenshots, reproduction steps, etc.) and we'll dig into it.
