picked up a red floodlight at ace, storebrand one and screwed it in and the darn thing blew. Hmm maybe the lamp was on at the time, shoulda been off first I suppose. Anyway I am gonna try to return it, but we'll see. I can't find the receipt. Are storebrands not necessarily as good as name brands? I was glad it blew right then as I only have one lamp out in the shed. I thought by keeping a new bulb in there that I would have no worry. HA. I am having a hard time leaving the almost 10 wk Buff orps in the shed!! I MISS THEM! I still have 3 seven week olds in my pc room, and 2 seventeen weeks EE in quarantine in the living room.

BTW, at what lengths have you gone to just to keep a rooster, and were you successful? I don't want to stress the girls or the roo, but have thought about some way to keep him without the neighbors complaining. Guess I'll have to see if they complain first. Thought about keeping him in at night, but hate to leave the girls without him visa versa, read about keeping a light on in the shed for a while longer into the evening and keeping out morning sunlight to change up his early hours etc
