Acess to nesting box question

Sorry to keep bugging all of you , but, how far from the nesting boxes should a purch be? My first coop is nearly finished. I would like to avoid as many mistakes as possible. As a chicken coop builder, I am a good heating man

I left a space of 4" between the perch and the opening of the nest box. I gave them a 2 x 2 for the perch. Nobody has complained, or left a note in the suggestion box, so it must be OK.
