Ack! Blue runner duckling with wry tail

One of the runner ducklings we "rescued" or "adopted", the only blue one, has wry tail.

I could never cull it, but it's not a trait I want passed on in our backyard flock.

Help educate me - what's a wry tail?! Would a picture help?

Wry tail is when the tail isn't straight, but turn off to the side.

What color are your other ducklings? If you've got a black and a silver, you can make a blue.

Otherwise, you'll just have to order more ducks so you can have blue in your flock.

Even if you breed black-to-black you can SOMETIMES end up with grey/blue, splashes and whites.

But this is only if the duck has had some splashes, blues or whites in the background. It probably won't work if the duck's only ever been bred to black birds.
