Actual time it takes to push an egg out?

I was out giving fresh greens to the girls this afternoon when my younger Austrolorp went into the coop, came out 2 or 3 min. later and began eating. Inside was a hot freshly laid egg. SHE wastes no time. My Bard Rock on the other hand comes and goes multiple times over several hours before an egg appears.

My poor barred rock Kiwi sang and sang today for over an hour. I thought something was wrong, so when I went to check something was SERIOUSLY wrong! Ciabatta, our Orpington, was taking too long and IN HER FAVORITE BOX!

I've seen a hen stare up at an occupied box for a while, then jump up and try to squeeze in beside the other hen while there are 2 other empty boxes. They definitely have their preferences. the box closest to the window rarely is used.

I've had that happen too!
