Thank you everyone for your help, my sweet girl is dead, I put her down this morning.

She's scratching for bugs and dust bathing in Heaven.

Another small piece of my heart is no longer on this earth.

I did a partial necropsy, it was a tumor on her neck, had its own blood supply. The purple on her clavicle was her crop pushing up. I didn't go any further.

I'm glad you were able to investigate, while hard to do, I hope this gives you some measure of comfort to know more about what was going on and that you did all you could for her

It was hard, but yes it's a strange sensation... To disect a hen that you love. Thank you for the kind words
