This is my first time with chickens, and I would like to know what others think about giving their chickens ACV and garlic.

I have been adding garlic powder to my chickens feed since I got them, they are 11 weeks old now. I also been adding ACV in their water on a daily basis, I also add some crushed fresh Garlic cloves to their water once a month. I have read some article's that the garlic helps prevent worms. since this is my first time with chickens, I only know what I read,

I would like other opinions from those that know more than I do.
also should I get a de-wormer along with the garlic and acv ?

thank you in advance

This is a article that I was going by, I have not used the DE

It's not really advisable to feed garlic to poultry. Lots of people do it, and it's even touted by some of the bigger names in the online poultry world, but there's no evidence that it's at all effective, and there are several reports of toxicity in birds.

Here's a good article on it:

As for ACV - it doesn't likely have any meaningful effect as a dewormer. It can be helpful in cases of digestive imbalances such as crop issues or vent gleet. I've so far seen no evidence it's harmful.

I know the ACV is not a wormer, but I did read that the garlic is a de-wormer
I am going to stop giving my chickens the garlic.
