Probably just a fluke, but I bought some ACV at the health food store last week on Monday and started adding it to waterers on the same day (how come no one told me it smelled like feet?
). I dumped the remains of the 1 gallon waterers each morning and added fresh.
At that time I only had one of my "teens" that was laying, a 19 week old dutch bantam pullet.
As of this past Friday, SIX more of my bantams have started laying. One of them as young as 17 weeks. I don't know if the ACV started this or had any effect on it, but I thought it was kind of interesting!
Also I noticed some nasty nasty poo the few days after I started the ACV, the smell was terrible and I've not noticed this before. It was like black tar and the smell was nearly unbearable. It went away after about 3-4 days? Now they're back to normal.
