Anyone have experience using apply cider vinegar in their water and nipples? I know the acid is no good for metal waterers, but they're usually galvanized steel. I was concerned about the metal parts of the nipple, particularly the spring (horizontal nipples) and the metal part where it seals. Perhaps they're stainless steel, so they can handle the acid.

I use both vertical and horizontal nipples. No problems so far. I've taken apart a V nipple and it looks like all stainless steel in there. Haven't done so with the H nipples, but no problems so far and they seem quality made and it would be just stupid to put galvanized in there. And is there such a thing as a galvanized spring? I don't think I've ever seen one, but perhaps I've been mistaken.
