If'n your usin' ACV try to stay away from the Bakin Soda. One of my Cambodian Boneless White-meats looked like he was havin' stomach trouble and I fed him a little. I'm still scrapin' pieces of quail off the ceiling. Good thing they're boneless, or I coulda lost an eye when he blew.

Well, from my short stent in the poultry raising exploits; I must differ to my several decades long dabbles in my tropical fish raising exploits, and definitively say (MAYBE). As far as water chemistry goes...any change in the PH of water (either up or down) has an effect on algae growth. Sunlight/light, oxygen/CO2 levels and the nitrogen content of the water all come into play. Get them all right, and you got yourself an algal bloom, get them wrong and you get chaos.

Algae in itself, is not evil! It is usually a symptom, of what is going wrong...or right. Depending on what you are doing.

Weekly+ cleaning of all water founts should stop all algae from even forming colonies. It depends on your water point system, your water, just how long you let that potty fount cook in the sun, as well your personal hygiene practices regarding your birds and water method. Lot of variables to take in here my friend
