hi
my chooks eggs are getting thin do you think i could add milk to their water to harden them up??

I wouldnt
Isnt milk bad for birds? I think so.
How about eggshell?
When you fry eggs, save the shells and bake em' for a bit
Then crush it, and add it to their feed.
It saves money
Or, you can get some oyster shell from the feed store. Have another dish with some, and it helps
The lay pellet from the feed store I go to has oyster shell mixed in with the pellets
I toss in a bit of egg shell occasionally. And the egg shells are SUPER hard

People used to feed milk to chickens all the time. I currently have friends that have standing orders for their milk fed turkeys. You put it in a dish or something. Or a waterer that is used for nothing else. Do not add milk to the water.

You can also add powdered milk to their feed.. there is nothing wrong with milk in small portions.. it's a GREAT source of protein, cultures & enzymes and can really help the vitamin deficiency in a sick bird or start chicks off well.

IF YOU WOULD FEED Yogurt or Cheese.. that WAS milk.. same difference.

Do you mean the shells are thin? Ad oyster shell on the side.
The yolks are thin or whites are thin? I would consider spending time analyzing their diet.
